Who We Are
A spiritual home built around service, open to everyone.
The Serumaga Organization gathers people who want their inner life and their outer actions to be the same thing. We don't ask anyone what they believe. We ask what they're willing to do for the person next to them. Some of our members come from religious traditions; many don't. What holds us together is a shared spiritual practice of showing up — with time, attention, and, when it's needed most, money.
We hold quiet gatherings, study circles, and seasonal community meals throughout the year. But the center of our work, the place where our spiritual life becomes visible, is direct service: meeting real, specific needs in our neighbors' lives. Right now, the clearest expression of that is helping people afford their medicine.

What We Do
The Medicine Assistance Fund
When the choice is between filling a prescription and paying rent, we want to remove that choice. The Medicine Assistance Fund provides direct support toward prescription medications and essential medical costs for anyone in our community who needs it.
This isn't charity in the cold sense. It's neighbors funding neighbors — a practical extension of what we believe a spiritual community is for.
Who can apply
- Anyone in our community, regardless of background or belief
- Requests for prescription medicine or closely related medical costs
- No income documentation required — just an honest description of your situation
- One request reviewed at a time, so we can stay responsive to everyone

We review with care
A small team reviews your request quickly and quietly. We're not investigating you — we're trying to help you.
We send support directly
Whenever we can, we pay your pharmacy or provider directly. If that's not possible, we reimburse you promptly.
